Random Thoughts on a Snowy Wednesday

Finally people have read the whole Joe Torre book. It actually seems like it could be a great read, Yankee fan or not. I'm pretty backed up on the reading list so I have been just trying to basically spark note it. College style. What what!
More on the book: Mike Mussina retired this year a 20 game winner and an almost hero in New York. What he says in the book, right, wrong or indifferent will strain New Yorkers opinion on him.
Democrats are trying to get a petition to silence Rush Limbaugh. There is little room for political judgment on this site so I will be brief. If he loves Castro and Chavez, or if he rallies to invade Iran is irrelevant. When people in government are fighting to stop anyone from free speech they push us down a dangerous road. If all media is positive and in favor of the government, we truly are a failed state. In my opinion, a republican, democrat or independent that signs a petition like that should be impeached if not deported. (I'm not a Rush fan either. Don't like him on the radio and I didn't like him on ESPN.)
Speaking of politics, when is this Global Warming stuff going to kick in. I'm freezing and snowed it damn it.
Is it me or is this week rather toned down relative to other Superbowl weeks? ESPN had it right last night, we need a little Joey Porter.
Mickey Rourke vs. Chris Jericho at Wrestlemania. I didn't see the Wrestler but I heard awesome things about it. I want to check it out as soon as I can.
Did you hear about this family that died? The parents decided after they were getting fired they would kill themselves after killing their five kids. When we hear stories like this we usually think "What went wrong? How could they thing like that" etc. I think about the kids. Can you imagine the horror of seeing your parents try to kill you? Maybe even first go after a brother or sister and there is nothing you can do about it? Unreal. I have been attacked with rolling pins and wooden spoons, but that is crazy. Sorry, had to mention it.
