iPhone App helps snipe people. In real life...

Fox News: Is your iPhone or iPod Touch a bit too, well, artsy? Not rugged or manly enough for your taste? Here's the solution: the Bullet flight ballistics calculator, which predicts the trajectory of bullets fired from high-powered sniper rifles by taking into account half a dozen variables including wind speed, distance, outside temperature and altitude. After digesting all the information, Bullet flight tells you where exactly on the sniper scope you should position your target in order to hit it. The application is preprogrammed for three kinds of rifle sold by Knight's Armament Company (KAC) of Titusville, Fla., which commissioned and sells the app for $11.99 through Apple's iTunes App Store.
I don't know why. I don't know when. I don't know how. All I do know is this. At some point, this app will save my life. Obviously, that is why I bought it. This is what I call Apple throwing down the gauntlet. We all understand Apple as like the cute, artsy, fun, make love not war type of computer and technology. Now, they are selling apps for just over 10 bucks where any idiot can become a pro sniper. Despite popular belief, snuffing Japs and Nazis on Xbox is not like real life. It really doesn't help you in any technical way to learn to shoot a gun. Today, Apple made a statement. They are done being the emo kid on the block. They are trading in their 3 size too small jeans for a pair of camouflage army pants. Maybe a three button suit. I'm not sure which one of those is more dangerous. Today they announce to the world they are here to stay. And of course, if you're not with Apple, you're against them.
