Sports Update!
Before we get into it just as an FYI there will be a weekly 24 blog. I will start it tomorrow after this episode airs. Nothing like a show about killing terrorists. Now, on to sports....
- Just heard a crazy stat. The last 5 games Eli has thrown two touchdowns. Neither to wide receivers. Just sayin.
- Just a note to pre game hosts. Don't compare players based on playoff performances when one of the players isn't in the playoffs. i.e. Who is better Larry Fitz or Andre Johnson? I don't have a dog in that race, I just think it's silly. Just sayin.
- Baltimore is mean. Even when they gave up first downs you still thought the Ravens got the better end of the play. See Lewis, Ray. Just sayin.
- Since when does Arizona have a defense? Eerily similar to the Colts super bowl run.
- Are the Eagles the Giants of '07? Well, I don't know. But it's not like that happens every year so I think thats silly too.
- Just a note to Pats fans. A lot of bitching about not making the playoffs with 11 wins. A legit gripe. 4 months ago you were making fun of Hank for saying the same thing about the Yanks though. Just sayin.
- Pacman Jones and Marvin Harrison. Throw them in jail. That's all I got.
- Where the hell is Manny going? I hear LA but I really think the Mets should throw their hat in that ring.
- Oh yeah, if the Yanks trade Nady they are idiots. Now, he ain't Paul O'neil so people need to chill, but it's still stupid.
- Texas asks Michael Young to move to third? First he moves to 2B to make room for Arod. Now he has to move for a 20 year old kid? Give me a break. Another player the Mets should look at. And if the Sox were inclined to go after Hanley, I don't see why they wouldn't try for Young.
- Kind of a weak sports day. Just sayin.
- Congrats to Jim Rice and Rickey Henderson for making the HOF.
