ST. LOUIS  —  A St. Louis man landed in jail for joking about shoe bombs after he boarded a plane. Michael Shafermeyer, 30, spent more than three days behind bars after making what he says was a joke at Lambert Airport. When a flight attendant asked him to close his laptop after boarding on Saturday, Shafermeyer told KMOV-TV in St. Louis that he jokingly asked her, "Are you the one who checks for shoe bombs?" He was flying to Maryland to get married and had had a few drinks, the station reported.

I'm pretty sure I want to drop this flight attendant down a flight of steps. Enough to scare and give her some bumps, but not seriously injure.  The poor guy was just drunk because he was getting married. Think about it. Guys and girls alike, if you're flying somewhere to get married you know for a fact you're getting loaded. It's a scary thought.... Marriage.... Ew. So cut the guys some freaking slack. It's not like he asked "can you check my shoe bomb?" He asked if she was lady that checked for shoe bombs. Where is the crime there? Maybe he wanted to know where she stood on shoe bombs, or maybe he wanted to know what kind of woman she was because this was his last chance to join the mile high club. Lord knows when he's married he won't be able to do it. At the end of the day, he was asking her about what she does. In fact, I think that is the right of someone on a plane. I'd like to know what moron was told by Jet Blue to check for shoe bombs. This way I know if I have to take matters into my own hands or not. He got locked up 3 days for that? Sorry. I hope he sues the airline and the government and wins big. I'm talking bailout big.
