"Pleasure Chip" on it's way!

The prospect of the chip is emerging from progress in deep brain stimulation, in which tiny shocks from implanted electrodes are given to the brain, The Australian reports. It has already been used to treat symptoms of Parkinson's disease. In recent months, scientists have been focusing on an area of the brain just behind the eyes known as the orbitofrontal cortex.
This area is associated with feelings of pleasure derived from eating and sex. A research survey conducted by Morten Kringelbach, senior fellow at Oxford University's department of psychiatry, and reported in the Nature Reviews Neuroscience journal, found the orbitofrontal cortex could be a "new stimulation target" to help people suffering from an inability to experience pleasure from activities such sex and eating.
Ah medical science. They find a way to manipulate brain activity to help Parkinson's. What do they do next? Try and help autism? No. Maybe help unfortunate people that forget who they are? Negative. They start trying to figure out ways to use it sexually. Now, I won't kill Viagra because if you know the story behind it, you know it was an accident. They were working on blood pressure medication and boom! Worlds greatest blue pill. Since then though, researches saw how much money there is to be made in the sex industry. Porn should have tipped them off, but it was Viagra that sold them, and now millions are being poured into scientific research behind this stuff. Hey, don't get me wrong. I'm all for easy living and "fun" times. But come on. Let's cure cancer before we dedicate all our time to getting our jollies off. Grab a magazine and go hide out in your moms bathroom. The old fashioned way worked just fine.
