Victory is Ours!

FOX NEWS: After years of suing thousands of people for allegedly stealing music via the Internet, the recording industry is set to drop its legal assault as it searches for more effective ways to combat online music piracy. The decision represents an abrupt shift of strategy for the industry, which has opened legal proceedings against about 35,000 people since 2003. Critics say the legal offensive ultimately did little to stem the tide of illegally downloaded music. And it created a public-relations disaster for the industry, whose lawsuits targeted, among others, several single mothers, a dead person and a 13-year-old girl.

We won! For years I have said how much I hated that court ruling because I think it's completely bogus. Sharing and trading are two things that this country was built on. Because famous people don't want it, it becomes illegal. GFY. But now, the record companies are giving up. They are done going after teenage girls and finished being complete villains. They know they would never be able to stop it. How could you?

I'm going to be honest here. I don't "pirate" music. I pay for it. Not because I don't want to, but all that downloading software puts viruses on my computer. So I just suck it up and pay.

Oh yeah. If the record companies wanted to make it "evil" they should have come up with a better word then "pirating". People love Pirates!
