Pilot of 30 years isn't qualified to land in France

A pilot with more than 30 years experience was forced to turn his plane around — because he was not qualified to land in fog, an airline confirmed Thursday. Passengers on the 8:4 5.a.m Flybe flight to Paris were just minutes away from landing at their destination when they were told they would have to go all the way back to Cardiff, England. One passenger from Bristol missed a job interview in France because of the incident. Cassandra Grant explained: "Twenty minutes outside Paris, the captain said, 'Unfortunately I'm not qualified to land the plane in Paris. They are asking for a level two qualification and I only have a level five. We'll have to fly back.'"

Well leave it to the French. Once again putting their nose in the air and "poo-poing" the rest of the world.  A level 5 license is good enough for the rest of the world, but not for you. I haven't seen a false sense of confidence in ones self since Jeremy Shockey. Remember back when he was on the Giants? He used to talk a lot of crap and write an article in the Post about how great he was, but in reality he would drop every other ball that comes his way? That's France. They think they are the greatest nation in the world but have no evidence to back that up. When I first read this, I fully intended on killing the airline. But as soon as I started typing, my fingers attacked France before I knew what was happening.

Here's a lesson for all you kiddies out there. If you're intending on starting an airline, make sure all your pilots are capable of landing wherever. It's just a good business move.
