You got Served! Via Facebook?

FOX: CANBERRA, Australia —  You've been "superpoked" — and served. An attorney in Australia has used the popular networking Web site Facebook to notify a couple that they lost their home after defaulting on a loan. The Australian Capital Territory Supreme Court last Friday approved lawyer Mark McCormack's application to use Facebook to serve the legally binding documents after several failed attempts to contact the couple at the house and by e-mail.

This is why I take Facebook as a joke. Yeah, it's fun to go on there and stalk peoples profiles, maybe check out some pictures, etc. But soon, laws will be passed that claim your facebook or myspace home page would be considered "actually visiting the persons home" and that don't fly with me. People have been trying to serve me with papers for years. It's a little game we play. I get away, he comes back. Imagine if all he had to do was e-mail them to me on facebook? I'd be crushed. That's why I usually put pictures of stupid crap on my profile and say random things in it. That way, they can assume it's me but they can't prove it.

Just as a side note... if you are applying for a job or have one where you are expected to act a certain way, delete your accounts. If you're too addicted to it then delete every of color remark and bad picture ever taken. I'm serious about this. I know people that have gotten snuffed for facebook infractions.
