German soldiers: Fatty Boom Batties

First they were accused of not wanting to fight. Then they were blamed for failing in their main mission to train the Afghan police. Now Germany’s battered military reputation has received a further humiliating blow. According to official reports, the 3,500 troops in northern Afghanistan drink too much and are too fat to fight. A German parliamentary report has revealed that in 2007 German forces in Afghanistan consumed about 1.7 million pints of beer and 90,000 bottles of wine. During the first six months of this year 896,000 pints of beer were shipped to German forces in Afghanistan. British and U.S. bases in the country enforce a strict ban on alcohol. The physical condition of the soldiers was already in question after a German armed forces report found that 40 percent of its soldiers aged 18-29 were overweight, compared to 35 percent of the civilian population of the same age.

Anyone else sick of Americans being called fat? These so called soldiers of the "master race" can't even pick up a gun they're so out of shape. Take it from someone who has been over seas. Sure, maybe the average American is a little rounder then they're counter part. However, in all my travels, I never saw someone in real good shape. So like everything we do, we have both extremes. Great shape and poor shape. I didn't see one euro that can make a guest appearance at Gold's Gym or Muscle Beach. Which makes me think, aren't we better then? If we had to hold a battle royal with another country, we can just get are tough guys in there. The other countries would have no chance. Another quick point. If the German armed forces are this out of shape, I think it's time to invade them. They've caused so many problems that I think now is our chance to just claim the whole nation. I say we invade during Okotberfest. They will be too drunk to fire straight.
