Free internet for all! Wait just a damn minute....

Outgoing Federal Communications Commission Chairman Kevin Martin is pushing for action in December on a plan to offer free, pornography-free wireless Internet service to all Americans, despite objections from the wireless industry and some consumer groups.

When you think about it, this is genius. You know that nobody is going to want to use this service anyway. Internet with no porn? That's like ESPN with no sports. Just the hit show Tilt. (I watched 3 episodes and almost had a heart attack.) So once again, the government has this grand plan to help Americans out, but in reality it is only helping a small percentage. You would think priests would be part of that percentage, but come on now. So there it is America. Take it or leave it. Free internet with no porn, or pay internet with more pop up adds for extenz then pin head references on the O'Reilly factor. To keep it fair and balanced I will now make a comparison for my more liberal friends. There will be more pop ups for "fleshlight" then Bill O'reilly mentions on the Keith Olberman program. Fair and balanced.

If you decide to read the article, which I'm sure many of you will not, the cable companies are furious. They don't want to lose that thirty smackers a month they get from providers. Yeah, yeah. Nobody is going to cancel their subscription because of the previously mentioned pornography ban. The cable companies are really upset because they know they are going to have to fight off a stigma that was attached to them back in the '70's. "Cable companies is for porn! No one needs cable in their house unless they like to watch porn!" You youngsters may not know, but that was really how people felt about cable. After all this time, cable companies may have to fight the power once again.

Oh yeah. Cable is for porn. Not that I know anything about that.
