Man forced to take political sign down; Because it's half retarded.

New Port Richey, Florida-- A Pasco County man who put a message to Barack Obama at the center of his home's Christmas display is being fined by the county. Joe Athas says the sign painted on his roof which reads "Obama and Joe the men" is not about politics, but about pride. "I think it's my right as human being, as a parent and a citizen of the United States to be proud of my president and my country," Athas says. The New Port Richey resident originally painted the message the day before the election, but eventually made it part of his holiday display. He didn't find out there was a problem until Tuesday morning when a Pasco Code Enforcement officer showed up at his door saying it was illegal to display political signs more than 15 days after an election.

Let's dig right into this. It's completely illegal to ask him to take this down. I have no idea how a law passed saying you cant display political signs 15 days after an election, but that's a giant infringement on your first amendment rights. This country is just deteriorating when it comes to the constitution. That thing is more of guidelines then actual laws. Fantastic. So you think I''m siding with this guy right? Wrong.

My heart goes out to anyone who doesn't get the full protection of the constitution. Everyone, except this guy. "Obama and Joe the men"? Like, really man? I am pretty incoherent on here sometimes, but on a second or third glance you can usually figure out where I'm going with my ramblings. But that's what you got for us? You defaced your property and are willing to pay fines for that? May god have mercy on your soul. Seriously dude.
