Man is tased while acting as fathers pallbearer.
Unbeknownst to some family and friends, the younger Russ had failed to keep a promise of turning himself in to sheriff’s deputies. So the sheriff’s office planned to arrest him discreetly at the 2 p.m. funeral – a move that backfired in the emotionally charged environment. Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Ed McMahon chalked it up to bad timing.
I wasn't even going to write about this. Just post the story and see where you guys stood. But I can't do that. There are a few things I hate in this world. One of them are Super Cops. I like the cops. For the most part, they are good, honest guys just looking to pay the bills. Occasionally, you get these "Super Cops". They think because they are a cop, the laws they protect don't apply to them. A giant pet peeve of mine is when a cop blows a red light for no reason. Good example you set sir. I understand it was their right to arrest this guy and he said he would turn himself in. But come on. The guy was taking care of his fathers funeral. And what did he do? He threatened to kill his wife who lives states away from him? I know people who threaten other states citizens every day. Nothing ever comes of it. "I hate those fu***** Boston fans, I'm gonna kill them!" or "They booeed Santa in Philly? They're going down. Those low lives!" I mean, all you have to do is realize he is sliding his father in the casket, and you tazer this guy? You should be suspended without pay. Maybe even beaten in a public square.
