Manny and the Yankees?

NY POST: PHILADELPHIA -Manny Ramirez doesn't fit the desire to get younger and more athletic, but several industry sources believe the Yankees will make a serious push for the free agent to play right field next year.
Though GM Brian Cashman says the top off season priority is starting pitching, he did not rule out interest in the 36-year-old Ramirez.
"We are looking at starting pitching," Cashman said when asked about the team's interest in Ramirez. "We will see how the free agent and trade markets are."

My only comment to this would be, yeah, that makes sense. My issue here is, I think the Post just made this crap up. I know. Crazy right. There isn't one shred of evidence in there that suggests they even have a real source. Am I an industry source? They want to put him in right field? How on earth does this make sense. This isn't little league. Right Field in Yankee stadium is a legit position. If you sign Man-Ram it's got to be as a DH. The only way I can deal with this, is if the Yanks get rid of at least two outfielders and make Manny the DH. Anything short of that, I may apply for Brian Cashman's job.
