A Dark Night, for the Dark Knight
TAMPA — In the dark of night, the masked man soars across the Howard Frankland Bridge, his cape streaming behind his Batcycle. "Batman!" people yell when he enters the Castle nightclub in Ybor City, and he poses for pictures with drunken women while showing off his retractable wings. At least — that's usually the mission for the Caped Crusader. But last weekend, he was unmasked. Tampa police arrested Walsh Ian Nichols, 21, for violating a state law that forbids wearing a mask on a public right of way, a statute written in the 1950s apparently aimed at the hooded Ku Klux Klan.Just so I understand this. Batman got arrested because of the Ku Klux Klan? I know I've said in the past that I'm done with Florida. Now I mean it. Sure, Philly may boo Santa Clause, but at least they have an excuse. They didn't get the Star Wars Lego set one year. But arrest Batman? You have got to be kidding me.
You have to wonder, the police spokeswoman said, why someone would choose to conceal his face.
Umm. Hello? Are you alive lady? He is concealing his face cause he is Batman you stupid hood rat. It's not like he's walking around with just the mask. He has the whole damn outfit on. Can you imagine someone in a Batman suit with no mask? That would be pretty freakin weird. Now, I know this Batman isn't saving cities, but he's doing something almost as important. He is taking pictures and entertaining drunk girls. It's a tough job, but somebody's got to do it. The only way Tampa can rectify this belligerent abuse of power would be to allow Batman to throw out the first pitch in the World Series.

Tampa would have to be in the world series for Batman to throw out that pitch... He can zip the Batmobile to Boston though...
