Mets Daily Update; Glass half full, also half empty
The mets are killing all of us. Especially you die hard Met fans. The Phillies lose last night and the Mets are up. The Brewers are losing too! In the middle of the game it seemed like the Mets could grab a bigger lead for the wild card and have a real shot at the division this weekend. Well, David Wright didn't get the memo. Sure we can go nuts on the bull pen, talk about Ramon Castro striking out with two outs. Not me. I want to talk about David Wright. Murphy leads off with a triple, Wright is up with a runner on third an no outs. You get that run in, the game is over. Basically the only thing you CAN NOT do in that situation is strike out. David Wright? Strike out. It is well documented that the bull pen is a major question mark on this team. I know David Wright has been a real good Met but when are we going to acknowledge that he's been choking down the stretch? By the end of the night, the Mets didn't pick up any ground on Philly and the Brewers came back and won the game. So, hold on to your hats, the next few days will be a wild ride.
