Reader E-mail; Afraid of moochers
A reader sent me this article. It's from CNN.com about friends that are "moochers." The article goes on and on about how friends are tightwads and lay the bill at their friends feet. Enough of the bitching. I am a capitalist and believe in free enterprise. However, when you are with a group of friends, communism is the way to go. We're a team. If a friend is low on funds, I don't care. They are coming out and partying it up with me. On the flip side if you have an income, I have a blog. I entertain you all damn day while your at your boring job. Buy my damn drinks. I know this policy doesn't sit well with everyone. It's about priorities people. I like to buy things outside of booz. However, I have a friend that basically pays his rent, utility bills and that's it. The rest of his money is reserved for ordering rounds of shots at the bar. This seems awesome, free shots. Believe me, it hurts you in the morning because hey, who turns down a free shot. So if you're a cheap skate, find a friend like that.
