Francesa fires back
My apologies to anyone outside of the tri-state area for this post. In the papers and on television WFAN radio host Mike Francesa has been vilified for the break up of the Mike and the Mad Dog program. Mad Dog (Chris Russo) jumped ship to Sirius XM and Francesa has been getting killed. He told the audience no one asked his opinion or comment. They just wrote and in some instances fabricated stories. Now I loved Mike and the Mad Dog and was shocked when they broke up. Mike is right here though. He gets absolutely no love. Maybe it's because his knowledge in some instances comes off as arrogant. I disagree. People criticize him for his candor with callers. I hate that. The fact is when I am listening and some idiot wants to trade Heilman and Luis Castillo to the Astros for Oswalt, you deserve to be castrated via radio waves. I have no time for that and neither should you. Sports may not be politics but it's something we are all passionate about and admittedly may take to seriously. When I want to hear or talk sports I don't want it to be wishy washy or trash talking. I want to have a legit discussion. Mike Francesa has and always be my outlet for that. The papers and broadcast waves be damned. The blogosphere has your back.
