There Will Be Blood....Sucking
HBO launched it's new series True Blood this Sunday. It's the baby from the creator of the critically acclaimed and way too much man butt series Six Feet Under. When are these studio heads going to realize naked women (see Entourage) bring thumbs up from idiot bloggers you ask? Well True Blood answers the call and quick. Nearly 15 minutes into the show there are crazy sex scenes. At first even I was scared but it is necessary for the story. You know the old "I didn't mean to strangle her" routine. But I digress. It is a show assuming vampires are real and are fighting for civil rights.
Someone created synthetic blood so they don't need to drain us normal folk out. However, it turns out taking a few shots of a "vamps" blood is like snorting a concoction of cocaine, Viagra, jolt cola, and ecstasy. As you can see there is a lot going on in this first episode. If you weren't looking for Heroes type action and really want to know what it's like to be a Vampire in todays world, enjoy. If you are looking for Count Chocula to come out and nail some pretty little coed and suck her dry.... rent a movie.
